Job Title - Sr. Project Manager – IT

Location: Hybrid -Worcester, MA (2 days per week/3 days remote)
Pay: $60-65.00 per hour
Our Commercial Lines team is currently seeking a Sr. IT Project manager to join our growing team in our Worcester, MA office. The ideal candidate will have a background in financial or insurance services managing a complex model, someone with a good technical background working with multiple integration partners, SaaS vendors, etc.
POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a member of the team, you are expected to lead the execution and delivery of technology projects while collaborating with business partners to advance the Commercial Lines organization. You are methodical, have excellent communication and time management skills – and can utilize those skills effectively across various business units.
Ultimately, the Project Manager is responsible for managing a wide range of technology projects of varying complexity.
With your solid blend of technical, and business facing skills, you will successfully partner with areas across the enterprise to lead delivery of projects in their area.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
- Lead complex projects and has accountability for the estimating, planning, scheduling, tracking, management of risk, budget, change management, problem resolution, reporting and communicating.
- Manage interdependencies within their projects
- Provide transparency and reporting to overall governance and steering structure
- Lead the interaction with business partners, project team members, other IT colleagues, and external vendors to ensure clarity of the business problem, outcome and scope and ensures issues and risks are understood and resolved.
- Be responsible for building team alignment, encouraging team effort and successes, embracing continuous performance improvement through coaching, modeling the way, and developing followership through his/her daily interactions with the team.
- Manage the vendor outcome through active collaboration and feedback with Program Management and Vendor Management
- Solicits and applies standards and best practices as defined by the project management Center of Excellence (Coe) and the Project Management Office (PMO)
REQUIRED:
- 7+ Years of related experience with project & program delivery (waterfall, iterative, hybrid, agile)
- Project Management background in Financial or Insurance Services
- Good technical background working with multiple integration partners on one projects, including software/SaaS vendors
- Strong Business Acumen - Knowledge of P&C products preferred ideally with Core Commercial experience and an ability to continuously learn and engage with business partners regarding scope and business value
- Strong relationship management skills – Ability to effectively collaborate with business & IT partners and to foster strong relationships with them to aid successful project delivery
- Strong ability to connect dots and build integrated plans that include business timelines for filings, intersecting IT project timelines and deliverables where dependencies exist, and outside project risks.
- Someone with an anticipatory mindset rather than a reactionary one.
- Bachelor’s degree with a preference of technology/computer science field or equivalent work experience
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and negotiation skills
- Strong leadership skills that deliver results and align with our CARE values
- Familiarization with project management tools such as MS Project, Planview, Jira, or Leankit.
